Markie Post
Markie Post was born in Walnut Creek,
California. Her first professional work was in productions for television and
film like "Card Sharks" (1978) or "The New Card Sharks” (1986).
Later, she was the producer of projects like Double Dare (1976). Also, she has
appeared in TV shows such as 1st to Die (2003) and E! True Hollywood Story
(1996) and Electra Woman (2000). One of her most memorable TV part was
"Christine Sullivan" on Night Court (1984). From 1984 until 1992 she
was in 156 episodes. Marylee (Armstrong) Post was her mother. She is a poet and
noted nuclear scientist Richard Freeman Post (November 14 1918 - April 7,
2015). With her second husband Michael A. Ross, she had two children: Katie
Ross (born June 26, 1986) and Daisy Ross (30 March 1990). Born in Palo Alto,
California, and grew up in Walnut Creek, California. As cheerleader, she
attended Las Lomas High School located in Walnut Creek. She graduated with a
Bachelor of Arts at Lewis & Clark College, Portland Oregon. She did some
trick roping in The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). The ashes of her
were returned to Michael A. Ross, her husband. She was a lifelong Democrat.
Markie Post passed away on the 7th of August in 2021. She died three months
away from what would have been her 71st birthday, which was on November 4. She
was 27 days away from Charles Robinson, Night Court (1984), the co-star of
which she passed away on July 11, 2020. While they were totally distinct shows,
Night Court (1984), which she played, ended in 1992 with Christine Sullivan
leaving for Washington DC. Hearts Afire (1992) where Post was a new character
Georgie Lahti (who actually had been employed in Washington DC before moving to
the smaller city) started in 1992.
