conceived in Los Angeles on September 20, 1970. Her parents moved to Dallas
soon after her birth. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School,
Performing and Visual Arts situated in the Arts District. In the following
years, she obtained a BFA diploma in acting from Stephens College and also
studied at the British American Drama Academy. She also spent six years with
the renowned Dallas Theatre Center and one year at the theater's Encore
Company. Prior to her debut on the big screen, she began her acting career from
theaters. Her stage credits include performances of "As As You like
It", "A Funny Thing occurred on the way to the Forum",
"Measure for Measure", "Baby" and "Chicago" along
with many others. Her first big break came when she starred alongside Angelina
Jolie in Michael Cristofer's acclaimed HBO television series Gia (1998) that
made her popular to audiences and critics, alike. Elizabeth showed off her
charismatic acting abilities following Frequency (2001 with Dennis Quaid) and
Neil LaBute's sci-fi adventure Nurse Betty ((2000) with Rene Zellweger). With a
wide range of credits from the theater, television series and movies, Elizabeth
Mitchell continues to give her best in the acting world. During the filming of

boyfriend in 1995. Their parents are Dallas-based real estate and tax lawyers
who have their own firm located just 5 blocks from their Dallas home. After

parents later relocated to Dallas in Texas. In 1991, she graduated from Booker
T. Washington High School, Performing and Visual Arts, situated in the Arts
District of Dallas. She received her degree from Stephens College in 1991 and
earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. The latter part of 2001 was spent as Cyd
the character of Ioan Gruffudd. The show aired in during March 2002 on BBC 1
TV.
