Tracy Spiridakos

Tracy Spiridakos is a Canadian actress. She was the Teletoon children's comedy show Majority Rules' Becky Richards. From 2009 to 2010, she appeared as Becky Richards on the Teletoon children's comedy series Majority Rules! She was then on the show as Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson on the NBC post-apocalyptic sci-fi series Revolution from 2012-2014, for which she was nominated for from 2009-2010 for a Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television. She was Annika Johnson on the A&E drama on television Bates Motel. Spiridakos starred as Detective Hailey Upton on the television show Bates from A&E. Motel. Spiridakos is the character Detective Hailey Upton. Spiridakos was the daughter of restaurant owners George Spiridakos who both were born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She has two siblings. The family moved to her father's home town, Skala, Greece south of Sparta just a few years after she was born and then returned to Canada in 1992. She is deeply connected to her Greek heritage and is able to speak fluent Greek. Spiridakos began acting at junior high school. She continued her studies at the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. She graduated from Oak Park High School in Winnipeg in 2000. Spiridakos relocated from Winnipeg in 2007 to pursue acting. She was able to land her first TV appearance on Supernatural within a few weeks. She continued working in television, with walk-on roles in Bionic Woman, The L Word, Hellcats, and Psych. Spiridakos was a part of the TV film Goblin and the web series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. Spiridakos was also a part of Being Human as the werewolf Brynn McCLean. In 2009 she was cast as her first role in a starring part in the role of Becky Richards, a 15-year-old girl who appeared on Canadian Teletoon's Majority Rules! Her debut as a feature film in the year 2011 with Rise of the Planet of the Apes as well as filmed the low-budget Michael Greenspan-directed thriller, Kill for Me, with her co-stars Donal Logue and Katie Cassidy. Spiridakos made an appearance as Sammi in the 2012 Nickelodeon original movie, Rags. The actress was then offered the lead role in the NBC TV series Revolution as Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson, one of the survivors in a dystopian future civilization. In her pilot season, she auditioned for this part. Spiridakos recorded the pilot in Atlanta as well as the first season in Wilmington. She was nominated for the Saturn Award for Best Actress on TV for her performance in the initial season and was defeated by Anna Torv of Fringe's Anna. Production was moved to Austin, Texas for the series' second season.
