Bonnie Wright

Bonnie Francesca Wright was born 17 February 1991. She is a model, actress and director from England. She is most famous for her role in the role of Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter film series.Born in London, Wright made her professional acting debut in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001) in which she played the role for ten years, before appearing in the final film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 (2011). Wright appeared in several independent films after the film series. The films received not well-received. Wright made her stage debut with Peter Ustinov's The Moment of Truth in 2013 at the Southwark Playhouse. In 2012 she graduated from the University of the Arts London with a bachelor's in filmmaking. Following her graduation from the University of the Arts London in 2012, she started producing short films through the production company BonBonLumiere. Her first film she directed was the coming-of-age drama Separate We Come. Separate We We Go (2012). The film was released at Cannes Film Festival to high critique. Wright also directed Know Thyself (2016) starring Christian Coulson and Sextant (2016). Both films explored emotions and landscapes as the main themes. Wright's three-part series Phone Calls premiered at Tribeca Film Festival 2017. Medusa's Ankles (2018) which starred Kerry Fox and Jason Isaacs was released by Wright. The show is based on A. S. Byatt's The Matisse Stories. She has also directed music videos for Scarlett Johansson and Pete Yorn. Wright has been a spokesperson for Greenpeace and Lumos and has been recognized for her environmental advocacy.
