Rita Ora (British singer-songwriter) is her name. Rita Sahatciu Ora was a British singer and songwriter born to Vera Bajraktari and Besnik Sahatciu in Pristina, Kosovo in 1990. Besim Sahatciu is her granddaughter. At the age of one, her family took the decision to relocate to England. She was raised in West London and attended St Cuthbert with St Matthias CE Primary School in Earls Court, following which she was accepted into Sylvia Young Theatre School and the following year, St Charles Catholic Sixth Form College. She began singing when she was a teenager. In 2004, she was featured in the British film Spivs. She auditioned for Eurovision The Country That Needs You on BBC One to be the British contestant for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest but then removed herself from the contest after a few weeks because she didn't feel prepared. Ora released her first single in 2007, when she appeared on Craig David’s song entitled "Awkward" Then she made a second appearance in 2008 on "Where’s Your Love" with TinchyStryder. Ora began singing in bars throughout London. A few days after, Ora flew to New York to meet Jay-Z, an A&R inform Roc Nation about Ora. In 2009, Ora made a cameo on Jay-Z's music video for "Young Forever" and "Over" by Drake. Jay-Z noticed Ora and quietly signed her up to Roc Nation. She was featured in a commercial featuring Skullcandy Aviator Headphones. Her father Besnik was a bar owner and she began her singing shows from the same pub. Gwen Stefani was her major influence.
