Michelle Lynn Monaghan Bio

Michelle Lynn Monaghan, born on March 23, 1976 was an American actor. Her most famous work is her performances in Kiss Bang Bang (2006), Gone Baby Gone (2007, Made of Honor (2008)), Trucker (2008) and Source Code (2011). Her role as Julia Meade, the main character in the Mission: Impossible action-spy show Mission: Impossible (2006), Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011), Mission: Impossible Fallout (2018) and Mission: Impossible Fallout (2018) has been acknowledged. Monaghan also starred in the first season of True Detective (2014) as Maggie Hart. She was nominated for the Golden Globe Award, Best Supporting Actress. In the drama The Path, a drama series The Path (2016), she was the lead of Sarah Lane. Monaghan was the character Eva Geller on the 2020 Netflix thriller series Messiah. The show was cancelled after only one season. Monaghan was the daughter of Sharon Hammel and Robert Monaghan (a factory worker) and was born in Winthrop, Iowa. Bob and John are her older brothers. Monaghan is of Irish and German heritage was raised Catholic and graduated from East Buchanan High School 1994. Following graduation, she relocated to Chicago to study journalism at Columbia College Chicago and began to model. She has modeled in Milan and Tokyo, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Hong Kong, Tokyo and the United States. After one semester to finish her journalism course in 1999, she left for New York to pursue an acting career. Before becoming an actor she was a model and appeared in a variety of catalogs and magazines. Monaghan was featured in two television roles as supporting characters in Young Americans' episodes in 2000. Her second appearance on television was on Law & Order: Special Victims Unified , in "Consent", which was aired on January 19, 2001. In addition, she made her debut on screen in Perfume that year as Henrietta. She was also a support actress in Unfaithful in 2002, starring Richard Gere, Diane Lane and other.
